Who is eligible for the subsidy?
Residential consumers in Maharashtra who are connected to MSEDCL are eligible. You need an Aadhaar-linked bank account and property ownership. There is a separate scheme for commercial consumers.
How long does it take to receive the subsidy?
After installation is complete, net meter is installed, and MSEDCL inspection is done, the subsidy is transferred via DBT (Direct Benefit Transfer) within 30-60 days. Keep all documents ready to speed up the process.
Can Housing Societies get the subsidy?
Yes! There is a separate scheme for Housing Societies for Common Area Solar. Each flat owner can apply individually, or the society can apply together. We handle society projects.
Do systems above 3kW get more than ₹78,000 subsidy?
No. The Central Government subsidy is capped at ₹78,000 (up to 3kW). For systems larger than 3kW, the subsidy amount remains the same. However, check for Maharashtra state additional subsidy — it is separate.
Is financing available for solar installation?
Yes! Bank loans are available for solar installation. The subsidy amount can be used as down payment. We help with financing options. EMI starts from approximately ₹1,500-₹3,000/month.
Can I get subsidy for a rented property?
Property ownership is required for the subsidy. Installation can be done in a rented property, but the subsidy will go to the property owner. It's best to have an agreement between tenant and owner.
What is Net Metering?
In Net Metering, the extra electricity generated by your solar panels goes to the MSEDCL grid. You get credit for it in your next electricity bill. You can use grid power at night or on cloudy days.
